PLC (Professional Learning Community)

Every Friday, teachers get together in groups to discuss ways to improve student learning in their classrooms.  The groups are called Professional Learning Communities, or PLC for short.  Depending on the topic, data is provided and groups are established to address issues raised from discussions about the topic.  Guest speakers often provide training and insight on how to best increase student learning.

Psychological and Behavioral Evaluations

Often times, during a student's IEP, reports are given that recommend that an evaluation be conducted.  With parental consent, the school psychologist can assess and evaluate the student, using appropriate tests to measure a variety of areas:  IQ, functional ability, adaptive ability, behavorial, ADHD, etc.  When the final report is made, the IEP team will reconvene to determine the next step in addressing the findings in the report.
